JD.COM’s recent development in Europe can be described as non-stop. Its business has expanded to 19 countries and it plans to acquire relevant shares of Ceconomy Group. Recently, it was reported that JD.COM planned to buy another logistics center in the Netherlands.
As early as the beginning of this year, JD.COM bought the first Dutch warehouse for 90 million euros, which is located in Utrecht, the logistics center of the central Netherlands, with an area of over 60,000 square meters. According to the latest report, JD.COM plans to acquire a logistics center in the Netherlands for about 54 million euros through its subsidiary JD.COM Chanfa. It is reported that JD.COM Property Development chose to cooperate with Cromwell Property Group, an Australian real estate investment company. The logistics center to be acquired this time has been sold in the market since September this year, and it is located in Oostru Logistics Park at the junction of the southeastern Netherlands and Germany.
In addition to the Netherlands, in July last year, JD.COM Development spent about 60 million pounds (about 500 million yuan) to buy the logistics warehouse in Milton Keynes, England, which was the first warehouse acquired by JD.COM in England, with an area of about 33,538 square meters. In October last year, JD.COM Property Repayment paid 44 million pounds (about 368 million RMB) to acquire a distribution center of British supermarket .
